MISSION STATEMENT

The Resuscitative TEE Collaborative is a multidisciplinary initiative developed by The Resuscitative TEE Project, aimed to advance research and education in the field of resuscitative TEE.

The Resuscitative TEE Collaborative has three main goals:

  1. further research in the field of resuscitative TEE

  2. develop up-to-date educational resourceS

  3. facilitate and support the establishment of new resuscitative TEE programs

RESEARCH

To date, only small, single-center observational studies have been published on the use of resuscitative TEE. one of the main goals of the resuscitative tee collaborative is to advance research in this field by bringing together clinicians and investigators from around the world, and to facilitate studies that can advance knowledge on the use of tee in acute care settings.

EDUCATION

Resuscitative TEE Rounds & Webinar Series

Unlike transthoracic echocardiography, which is performed multiple times a day in most Emergency Departments and Intensive Care Units, there is a relative paucity of resuscitative TEEs. To allow for ongoing learning and to enhance the expertise of our members, The Resuscitative TEE Collaborative hosts monthly case conferences and lectures to review common clinical pearls and pitfalls which are available to members and non-members alike.

Regional Collaboration

Access to simulators and training opportunities represent an important barrier to the adoption of resuscitative TEE. High fidelity simulators are expensive and often underutilized. The Resuscitative TEE Collaborative coordinates access to simulators, especially in the early stages of program development.

There are numerous hurdles to overcome when implementing a new program for point of care TEE in the Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit. By sharing our own experiences and providing an open forum for discussion, we believe that collaborating institutions can mutually benefit from the collective experience, promote best practices, and improve patient care. By bringing together leaders and experts from across the world, members will have access to an unparalleled support system and professional network in the resuscitative TEE community.
